Krasowski and Camhi Unanimous First Team All-Ivy Selection in Doubles
Senior Misia Krasowski (Deerfield, IL) and freshman Hannah Camhi (Woodbury, NY) have been named unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection in doubles, as voted by the League’s eight head women’s tennis coaches. For Krasowski, it marks her third consecutive First Team All-Ivy honor, after earning First Team All-Ivy recognition in singles in both 2011 and 2012.

Women’s Tennis Falls to #37 Yale, 6-1
The Brown women’s tennis team (7-13, 1-6) dropped a 6-1 decision to #37 Yale in its 2013 season finale on Saturday afternoon at the Erickson Athletic Complex. The Bears #1 doubles team of senior Misia Krasowski (Deerfield, IL) and freshman Hannah Camhi (Syosset, NY) earned an 8-3 win at #1 doubles to improve to 6-1 in Ivy League play, while posting their 22nd win as a doubles team to set a new Brown record for doubles wins in a season by a pairing. For the season, the duo posted a 22-9 record.

Women's Tennis Falls to #72 Harvard, 7-0
The Brown women's tennis team (7-12, 1-5) dropped a 7-0 decision to #72 Harvard on Thursday evening. The Crimson claimed the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3 and went on to sweep the six singles matches, winning five of the six in straight sets.

Women’s Tennis Defeats Dartmouth, 4-3
The Brown women’s tennis team (7-11, 1-4) picked up its first Ivy win of the season on Sunday afternoon, defeating Dartmouth (8-9, 1-5), 4-3. The Bears won the doubles point to take the early lead and then earned victories in three of the six singles matches. Freshman Hannah Camhi (Syosset, NY) helped to lead Brown with wins at #1 doubles and #2 singles, while sophomore Nikita Uberoi (Boca Raton, FL) and freshman Ammu Mandalap (Princeton Junction, NJ) also won in both singles and doubles.

Tennis Matches vs. Harvard Postponed
Due to the ongoing police activity in the Boston/Cambridge area, the men's and women's tennis matches between Brown and Harvard, scheduled for this afternoon in Cambridge and Providence, respectively, have been postponed until further notice.

Women’s Tennis Edged by Cornell, 4-3
The Brown women’s tennis team (6-11, 0-4) dropped its second match of the weekend, falling 4-3 to Cornell on Sunday afternoon at the Bears’ outdoor tennis courts. Brown won the doubles point with wins at #1 and #3, but the Big Red earned four singles wins, two of which went to a third set, to come back for the victory.

Bears Fall to #60 Columbia, 5-2
The Brown women’s tennis team (6-10, 0-3) dropped a 5-2 decision to #60 Columbia on Saturday afternoon at the Bears’ outdoor tennis courts. Brown won the doubles point, but the Lions posted wins in five of the six singles matches to claim the victory. Sophomore Nikita Uberoi (Boca Raton, FL) won at #4 singles, earning Brown’s lone singles win.

The Brown womenâs tennis team (6-9, 0-2) dropped a 6-1 decision to #65 Princeton on Saturday afternoon in New Jersey. Sophomore Nikita Uberoi (Boca Raton, FL) earned a three-set victory at #4 singles, winning her second match in as many days.

Bears Edged by Penn, 4-3, in Ivy League Opener
The Brown womenâs tennis team (6-8, 0-1) opened its Ivy season on Friday afternoon at Penn, narrowly falling to the Quakers, 4-3. The teams split the six singles matches with each side winning three, as the match came down to the earlier doubles point, which Penn clinched with a 9-7 win at the #3 position.

Women’s Tennis Defeats FIU, 6-1
The Brown women’s tennis team (6-7) closed out the non-league portion of its schedule with a 6-1 win at Florida International on Friday, March 29th. The Bears won the doubles point with wins at #1 and #2 and then posted victories at #1, #2, #4 and #5 singles, while #6 was won by forfeit to account for the 6-1 final.

Women’s Tennis Falls to #9 Miami, 6-1
The Brown women’s tennis team (5-7) dropped a 6-1 decision to #9 Miami (11-3) on Wednesday afternoon in its first of two matches over spring break. Hightlighting the match was a win at #2 singles by freshman Hannah Camhi (Syosset, NY), who defeated #73 Kelsey Laurente in three sets, 2-6, 6-0, 6-2.

The Brown women’s tennis team (5-6) earned a 5-2 win over visiting Maryland on Thursday afternoon at the Pizzitola Center Courts. Brown dropped the doubles point, but earned wins in five of the six singles matches to take the 5-2 decision.

Bears Edged by #30 NC State, 4-3
The Brown women’s tennis team (4-6) dropped a close, 4-3, decision at #30 NC State (10-1) on Saturday afternoon at NC State’s Dail Outdoor Tennis Stadium. The match came down to the wire at #4 singles, where sophomore Sarah Kandath (Gansevoort, NY) came up just short in a hard-fought three-set decision. After dropping her first set, 7-5, Kandath battled back and forced a third set with a 7-5 win in the second set. She ultimately fell, 7-6 (10-8) in the third set, as NC State held on for the win.

The Brown women’s tennis team (4-5) dropped a 5-2 decision to #51 Virginia Commonwealth (13-4) in a neutral site match played at NC State on Friday afternoon. The Bears claimed a pair of singles victories, winning at #3 and #6.

The Brown women’s tennis team (4-4) earned a 6-1 win over Stony Brook on Saturday morning at the Pizzitola Center Courts. The Bears won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point and then picked up wins at #1, #2, #4, #5 and #6 singles. Seven different Bears played in the match, as four players won in both singles and doubles.

The 71st-ranked Brown women's tennis team (3-3) dropped a 5-2 decision to Boston College (4-0) at the Dedham Health & Athletic Complex on Friday evening. The Bears dropped the doubles point, falling in all three matches, before winning a pair of singles matches.

#68 Women’s Tennis Defeats Binghamton, 7-0, and Providence, 4-1
The 68th-ranked Brown women’s tennis team (3-2) posted a pair of wins on Sunday, earning a 7-0 victory over Binghamton and a 4-1 decision over cross-town rival Providence College. The double header marked Brown’s return to the courts for the first time in over two weeks after last weekend’s ECAC Championship was cancelled due to the blizzard that struck the New England region.

#67 Women’s Tennis Earns First Win of 2012-13, 4-3 over UMass
The 67th-ranked Brown women’s tennis team (1-2) came back after dropping the doubles point to win four singles matches en route to a 4-3 win over UMass (2-1) at the Pizzitola Center Courts on Friday afternoon. Senior Misia Krasowski (Deerfield, IL) and freshman Hannah Camhi (Syosset, NY) led the Bears, as the duo combined for a win at #1 doubles and then won their respective singles matches at #1 and #2.

#63 Brown Women’s Tennis Falls to #53 Missouri, 4-0
The 63rd-ranked Brown women’s tennis team (0-2) faced #53 Missouri (2-1) in the consolation match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend, hosted by Michigan, and fell to the Tigers, 4-0. The Bears picked up a win at #3 doubles and then were also leading matches at #2 and #3 singles when Missouri earned the fourth and deciding point to take the 4-0 win.

#64 Bears Open Spring Season at ITA Kickoff, Hosted by #16 Michigan
The Brown women’s tennis team (0-1), ranked 64th in the current ITA poll, opened its spring season as one of 60 teams across the nation competing in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Bears played host Michigan (1-0), ranked 16th in the country, and fell to the Wolverines, 7-0 in the opening round. Brown will face either #31 South Carolina or #53 Missouri in the consolation match on Sunday, January 27th at 10:00 a.m.

Women's Tennis Closes Out Fall Schedule against Albany and Ohio State
he Brown women's tennis team hosted Ohio State and Albany for the Brown Invitational on November 2nd and 3rd. Players from the three teams competed against each other in a series of individual matches, as no team scores were kept. In doubles action, senior Misia Krasowski (Deerfield, IL) and freshman Hannah Camhi (Woodbury, NY) went 3-0, while the team of sophomores Nikita Uberoi (Boca Raton, FL) and Sarah Kandath (Ganesvoort, NY) was 2-1.

Freshman Hannah Camhi (Woodbury, NY) fell in her quarterfinal match at the ITA Northeast Regionals, hosted by Army. Unseeded, Camhi dropped her final match to 11th-seeded Amanda Mulliawan of Princeton, 6-3, 6-2.

The Brown women's tennis team competed in doubles action on the first day of competition at the 2012 ITA Northeast Regional, hosted by Army. The Bears advanced all three doubles teams to the Round of 16, as all three teams won two matches on Friday. Brown will continue action at the Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Bears Win Two Doubles Flights at USTA Women’s Collegiate Invitational
Nine members of the Brown women’s tennis team competed at the USTA Women’s Collegiate Invitational over the weekend. The Bears were led by junior Jessica Harrow (La Crescenta, CA) and freshman Ashley Noyes (Marblehead, MA), who combined to win the #2 doubles flight, and sophomores Sarah Kandath (Gansevoort, NY) and Laura Wiley (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), who teamed up to win the #3 doubles flight.

Bears Open Season at Brown Invitational
The Brown women’s tennis team competed in its first action of the 2012-13 season, facing off against players from Binghamton, Boston College, Boston University, Providence, and Rutgers at the Brown Invitational. The Bears were led by freshman Hannah Camhi (Syosset, NY), who was 3-0 in singles, winning the Gold Flight, and 4-0 in doubles, teaming with senior Misia Krasowski (Deerfield, IL) to win the doubles main draw.

Women's Tennis Opens 2012-13 Season with Brown Invitational
Practices began on Monday, Sept. 10 for the Brown women’s tennis team’s 2012-2013 season. The action will get underway quickly with a home tournament, the Brown Invitational, from Sept. 21-23. Last year, the team posted a solid record at the competition, which will include opponents from Rutgers, Boston University, Boston College, and Binghamton.

Bianca Aboubakare ’11 Returns to Brown as Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach
Brown head women’s tennis coach Paul Wardlaw has named former Bears’ standout Bianca Aboubakare ’11 as an assistant coach for the women’s tennis team. Aboubakare joined the Brown staff in August of 2012 after spending the previous year as the assistant coach for the men’s and women’s tennis programs at Wagner College.
