RIVERSIDE, RI - After opening the season with three straight away matches, the Bears hosted Maryland in their first home match of the season. Though scheduled for home, the match was played at Centre Court in Riverside due to the ongoing repairs, which are near completion, to the Pizzitola Center membrane roof. In a match that started at 9:00 p.m., the Bears (0-4) were unable to pick up their first win of the season, as Maryland rebounded from a loss to Boston College to claim the 6-1 win.

Brown was led by freshman Jessica Harrow (Los Angeles, CA), who claimed a win at #5 singles, while junior Julie Flanzer (Highland Park, IL) and sophomore Misia Krasowski (Deerfield, IL) earned a win at #3 doubles. Brown continues action on Thursday, February 10th, when it travels to Boston College to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.
