Brown Women's Swimming and Diving Names Captains for 2003-2004 Season

Juniors Emily McCoy (Anchorage,AK) and Liz Daniels (Pittsburgh, PA) were recently elected captains of the Brown women's swimming and diving team for the 2003-2004 season.

McCoy, an English major, was an individual finalist in the 100 and 200 freestyles and a member of Brown's winning 200 and 400 freestyle relays at the Ivy League Championships this past season.

Daniels, a psychology major, captured three individual Ivy titles (50 free, 100 free, 100 backstroke) and was also a member of the school's winning 200 and 400 freestyle relays. The 200 relay set an Ivy League record. Daniels' season concluded at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships where she placed 17th in the 50 freestyle and 14th in the 100 freestyle. Her lifetime best performance in the 100 earned honorable mention All-America status and a 40th place team finish for the Bears.
