PRINCETON, NJ - The women's swimming and diving team fell to 0-2 on the season after dropping a 160-125 decision to Princeton on Sunday afternoon. Juniors Jean Lee (Valrico, FL) Liz Daniels (Pittsburgh, PA) led the Bears.
Daniels won both the 100 Back (:57.40) and the 100 Free (:51.63), while Lee grabbed second in both the 1000 Free (10:07.38) and the 200 Fly (2:06.92). In addition, Daniels was a member of the second place 200 Medley Relay Team (1:46.91) along with seniors Laura Mosca (Charlottesville, VA) and Inbal Hasbani (Wilmette, IL) and freshman Michelle Oeser (Eliot, ME). Daniels also teamed with Oeser, and juniors Lindsay Hoban (Duxbury, MA) and Emily McCoy (Anchorage, AK) for a first place finish in the 400 Free Relay (3:28.78).
Other top-three finishers for Brown individually included the following. McCoy grabbed third in the 200 Free (1:53.43), while Hoban took third in the 100 Back (:58.34). Oeser swam to a second place finish in the 50 Free (:24.19).
The Bears grabbed a sweep in both the 100 Fly (1-2-3) and the 200 IM (1-2) as Hasbani won the 100 Fly (:58.46), followed by freshman Elizabeth Wong (Santa Monica, CA) and Lauren Hinkson (Perrysburg, OH). Sophomore Alexis Skoda (Bernardsville, NJ) won the 200 IM (2:08.89), while Mosca grabbed second.
In diving action, senior Kristin Duffy (Cheshire, CT) dove to a second place finish on the 1-Meter with a score of 270.75, while freshman Jessie Larson (Wayland, MA) led a 1-2-3 sweep of the 3-Meter with a 272.02 score. Duffy took second with a 264.82, while freshman Dana Meadow (Chicago, IL) grabbed third with a 261.45.
Brown continues action on Sunday, January 5, 2003, when the Bears swim against Penn State in Naples, Florida.
