Women's Swimming and Diving Defeats Penn, 145-97

PRINCETON, NJ - The women's swimming and diving team improved to 2-2 on the season with a 145-97 victory over Penn on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Michelle Oeser (Eliot, ME) led the way for the Bears with two first place finishes in individual events.

Oeser won both the 200 free (1:54.97) and the 100 free (52.80), while swimming with junior Liz Daniels (Pittsburgh, PA), junior Emily McCoy (Anchorage, AK), and freshman Beth Adler (Havertown, PA) in the first place 400 free relay team (3:33.39).

Daniels also won the 50 free (39.6), while junior Jean Lee (Valrico, FL) won both the 200 fly (2:08.10) and the 500 free (5:02.98).

In diving action, senior Kristin Duffy (Cheshire, CT) won both the 1-Meter (242.55) and the 3-Meter (239.93) to help the Bears to the victory.

Brown continues action on Saturday, February 1, 2003, when the Bears swim at Columbia with Cornell at 11:00 a.m.
