PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Brown women's swimming and diving team evened it record at 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the Ivy League with a 124-114 in over Penn on Saturday afternoon.
The 400 Medley Relay team of senior Jessica Brown (Orange, MA), freshman Alexandra Wyatt (Ypsilanti, MI), sophomore Meredith Cocco (Lafayette Hill, PA), and junior Eileen Robinson (Harbour Grace, NF) started things of with a first place finish, clocking in at 3:05.00.
Robinson won the 50 free with a time of 24.34, while junior Elizabeth Wong (Santa Monica, CA) took third with a time of 24.85. Cocco won the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.65, while sophomore Ashley Wallace (Chatham, NJ) and Cocco took first and second in the 400 fly. Wallace swam in a time of 2:05.40, while Cocco came in at 2:05.55.
Robinson also won the 100 free with a time of 53.14, while Brown and sophomore Emily Brush (Duxbury, MA) took first and second in the 200 back. Brown touched the wall in 2:07.07, while Brush came in at 2:08.00. Wyatt took second in the 200 breast, swimming a time of 2:26.95.
In the final swimming event, the 400 free relay team of sophomore Becky Kowalsky (Ft. Myers, FL), sophomore Kathleyn Brandstetter, freshman Lauren Zatorski (Winnetka, IL), and Wong took second with a time of 3:35.87.
In diving action, junior Jessica Larson (Wayland, MA) took first in both the 3-Meter (278.70) and the 1-Meter (286.65), while sophomore Amy Latinen (Fenton, MI) took second in both with a 261.30 in the 3-Meter and a 243.60 in the 1-Meter.
The Bears continue action on Saturday, January 29, when they travel to Ithaca to compete against Cornell and Columbia.
