Bears Fall to Penn, 180-120

PHILDAELPHIA, PA - The Brown women's swimming & diving team fell to Penn, 180-120 on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears opened the meet with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay as the team of Emily Brush, Aly Wyatt, Meredith Cocco, and Sarah Goodman swam a time of 1:50.72. Ainsley McFagden took third in the first individual event, swimming a time of 10:23.56 in the 1000 free. Becky Kowalsky grabbed second in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.28, while Brush took second in the 100 back with a time of 59.58.

Wyatt was Brown's top finisher in the 100 breast, earning second with a time of 1:07.53. Ashley Wallace led Brown in the 200 fly, finishing in third with a time of 2:07.30, while Goodman led Brown in the 50 free, earning third place with a time of 24.80. Goodman was also Brown's top finisher in the 100 free, grabbing third with a time of 54.45. Brush was the Bears' top finisher in the 200 back, swimming a time of 2:05.39.

Baily Langer picked up Brown's first win on the day, swimming a time of 2:24.43 in the 200 breast. McFagden posted a third place finish for the second time on the day, clocking in at 5:07.20 in the 500 free. Wyatt claimed second place for the second time in the meet, earning a time of 2:10.97 in the 200 IM. In the final swimming event of the afternoon, Brown's 400 free relay team of Kowalsky, Goodman, Brush, and Susannah Ford swam a time of 3:40.66.

In diving action, Katie Olko led Brown in the 1-meter, posting a score of 247.65. Amy Latinen was the Bears' top diver in the 3-meter, winning the event with a score of 283.88. With that score, Latinen qualified for NCAA Zones.
