Women's Swimming & Diving Defeats Bucknell, Falls to UNC

Chapel Hill, NC - The Brown University women's swimming and diving team (2-3) came away with a split in a double dual meet with UNC (L, 151-145) and Bucknell (W, 237-63) on Wednesday afternoon, the Bears first action since early December.
Top finishers for the Bears include senior Jessica Brown (Orange, MA), who won the 100 back in a time of 58.82, freshman Alexandra Wyatt (Ypsilanti, MI) and who took third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:07.25, Sophomore Ashley Wallace (Chatham, NJ) took third in the 200 fly, clocking in at 2:05.60, while junior Eileen Robinson (Harbour Grace, NF) took second in the 50 free with a time of 24.19.
Brown swept the 1-Meter diving event, taking first-third as sophomore Amy Latinen (Fenton, MI) scored a 243.60 to win the event. Junior Jessica Larson (Wayland, MA) finished in second with a 240.70, while sophomore Dana Meadow (Chicago, IL) took third with a 224.90.
Robinson was Brown's top finisher in the 100 free, taking second with a time of 52.85, while Wyatt took third in the 200 breast with a time of 2:26.74. Led by freshman Dillon Delaney (West Barnstable, MA) the Bears swept 1-3 in the 500 free. Delaney finished in 5:11.85, and was followed by freshman Meredith Moore (Carmel, IN) with a time of 5:15.56 and junior Katie Mirch (Reno, NV) with a time of 5:16.69.
Brown also swept 1-3 in the 100 fly, led by junior Elizabeth Wong's (Santa Monica, CA) first place finish in a time of 58.92. Freshman Lauren Zatorski (Winnetka, IL) took second with a time of 59.41, while Wallace came in third with a time of 59.81.
Larson won the 3-Meter dive for the Bears with a 280.20, while Moore won the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.29.
