Kate Denmead joined the Brown Swimming coaching staff in the fall of 2000. She graduated from Bowdoin College in 1997 with a double major in sociology and government. After graduating from Bowdoin, Denmead began her professional career in sports working with two professional sporting events, The Family Circle Cup Tennis Tournament, and the 1999 Ryder Cup Matches. Denmead was a competitive swimmer from the young age of five, and finished her career at Bowdoin as a three-time Honorable Mention All-American.
