Brown Wins 16 Events in Meet Against Dartmouth

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown hosted its first meet of the year this weekend against Dartmouth and took 16 victories out of 34 total events at the dual meet. The women's team boasted seven first-place medals while the men accounted for nine.

The Bear women went 1-2 in the 200 meter medley relay while the squad was even more impressive in the 100 meter breastroke as Kristin Jackson, Briana Borgolini and Jamie Firth took first through third, respectively. Brown also took the top three medals in the 50 meter freestyle with Kristen Caldarella, Candice Sisouvanieng-Kim and Megan Nolet occupying the top spots. 

While the men did not have any racers take all three top places, they did have first and second place victors in the 100 free (James Hunter and Timothy Juhn), 100 breast (Conor Carlucci and Mike McVicker and the 100 fly (Carlucci and Glenn Thomas). 

The Bears return to the pool on Dec. 3-5 at the Princeton Invitational, the final meet of 2010.
