Brown Honored as CSCAA Scholar All America Team
The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced the Scholar All America Team and Individual Awards for the 2010-2011 academic year. Both the men’s and women’s squads earned distinctions while freshman standout Briana Borgolini received an honorable mention nod in the individual awards.

Brown Recognizes Swimming & Diving Accomplishments at Annual Banquet
The women’s swimming and diving team celebrated their 2010-2011 season with a banquet in which the student-athletes athletes, coaches and special guests honored the teams’ hard work and season accomplishments with the presentation of varsity letters and team awards at local restaurant Twist on Angell.

Topping Off Ceremony For Fitness Center, Aquatics Center, Varsity Strength and Conditioning and Quadrangle
Brown president Ruth J. Simmons and honored guests took part in a Topping Off Ceremony on April 6, 2011, with the final beam being hoisted in place for the Nelson Fitness Center, the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center, the Ittleson Quadrangle and the David Zucconi ‘55 Varsity Strength and Conditioning Center.

Winter Academic All-Ivy Announced
The Ivy League released its winter list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with 10 Brown student-athletes being recognized. The five males and five females were starters or key reserves on their respective varsity teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.

Brown All-Time Record Falls on Final Day of Ivy Championships
As the Brown women’s swimming & diving finished up competition at the 2011 Ivy League Championships, records continued to fall in the Brown record book. Rookie Briana Borgolini finished third overall in the 200-yard breastroke, setting a Brown all-time fastest time in the event.

Brown Sets School Records on Second Day of Ivy Championships
On the second day of competition at the Ivy League women’s swimming & diving championships, the Bears set school records in two races and also had a swimmer pick up a NCAA “B” cut qualifier.

Brown Women’s Swimming & Diving Heads to Princeton for Ivy League Championships
On Thursday, February 24 at the DeNunzio Pool in Princeton, N.J., the Brown women’s swimming & diving team will compete in the 2011 Ivy League Championship. The event will span three days and will be hosted by defending champion, Princeton.

Brown Stands in Fifth Place Heading Into Day Two of Ivy Championships
The Brown women’s swimming & diving team sits in fifth place heading into the second day of competition at the Ivy League Championships, hosted by Princeton. Several Bear swimmers came through with impressive performances, which marked high on the Brown record book.

Brown Swimming & Diving Topped at Yale
A week after its senior day celebration and a week before the Ivy League Championships, the Brown men’s & women’s swimming & diving team traveled to take on conference-rival Yale. The Bears won several races but were topped on both sides. The women fell 171-129, while the men were downed 171-118.

Brown Swimming & Diving Victorious Over Cornell On Senior Day
On senior day for the Bears, both the men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams were victorious on Saturday afternoon. The women’s team downed Cornell 163.5-134.5 while the men were also triumphant, topping the Big Red, 160-140.

Both the men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams were in action at Columbia on Saturday but each team came up just short. The women fell, 163-137, while the men were topped 162-136.

Brown Women Fall Versus Harvard and at BU
The Brown Bear women’s swimming and diving team hosted Harvard and traveled to Boston University this weekend, but were outscored in each event. The Bears fell to the Crimson 198-97 before being downed by the Terriers, 171-129.

Brown Women Victorious in Dual Meet Against Penn
In the midst of training session in Florida, the Brown Bears took some time off to take on Ivy League rival Penn in a dual meet this afternoon. The Brown women were victorious, 163.5-136.5 while the men were topped 173-127.

Brown Announces Updated Meet Times Against Penn and Harvard
Head swimming and diving coach Peter Brown has announced new meet times for three events in the 2011 season. Both dual meets against Penn in Miami, Fla., and the home matchup against Harvard will be pushed up.

Brown Takes Fourth at Princeton Invitational
Highlighted by four individual medals, both the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams took fourth overall at the Princeton Invitational this past weekend. The Bears squared off against some tough competition including Florida, Princeton, Washington State and Rutgers.

Brown Wins 16 Events in Meet Against Dartmouth
Brown hosted its first meet of the year this weekend against Dartmouth and took 16 victories out of 34 total events at the dual meet. The women’s team boasted seven first-place medals while the men accounted for nine.

In the first meet of the year at Providence College, the Brown swimming & diving teams dominated local rivals PC and Bryant. The Bears boasted numerous wins as well as several one-two finishes.

The Brown swimming and diving teams open their seasons today as both the men’s and women’s squads are in action this weekend at Providence College. The women’s team competes today at 5 p.m. while the men take to the pool tomorrow at 11 a.m. The Bears will match up against on Providence College and Bryant in an all-Rhode Island meet.

Swim Meet at Boston College Pushed to 1 p.m.
The Brown Bears will travel up to Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Halloween for a preseason tuneup versus the Eagles. The scrimmage is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 31, an hour later than the originally scheduled start time.
