Bears Fall To Penn, 5-4, In Thrilling Match

Providence, RI - Another superb intercollegiate sporting event at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Sunday, December 5th ended with Penn pulling out 5-4 win over the Brown women's squash team.

With Brown holding four wins and tied on two courts and one each in games, the Bears were unable to claw out a win from the remaining two matches at #1 and #3 positions. There were good wins for Megan Cerullo '08 at #2, Zarah Rahman '07 at #4, Minoo Fadaifard '08 and Jennifer Neff '06.

The match came to four all with All American Lillian Rosenthal playing Penn's #1 Paula Pearson. Lillian's marathon match against Princeton less than 24 hours earlier caught up with her in the fourth game against Penn. Again Lillian was involved in a marathon, but was unable earn the victory.

The Bears are now on their way to Europe for a Training trip and will be in action against Amherst on the 18 January at Amherst
