Bears Split With Yale and Cornell

Feb. 13, 2007

The Brown women's squash team completed a long road trip by splitting with Yale and Cornell, falling first to the Elis, 8-1, and earning a thrilling 7-2 victory over the Big Red.

Freshman Kali Schellenberg manages two wins over the weekend at #9. The Cornell match was a gripping affair with the match always on a knife edge but there were some outstanding performances led by senior tri-captain Erin Andrews at #1 who won in a very competitive and entertaining match.

Following at #2, junior Megan Cerullo played with poise to win in three games. Sophomore Charlotte Steel proved again that her mental toughness is a great asset overcoming an enterprising and unconventional player by coming back from 1-2 down to win in five.

Brown's players 6-9 all won in three games and set up their final week's practices nicely for the Howe Cup this weekend in New Haven.
