Providence, RI - In an epic contest the 10th-ranked Brown women's squash team squeaked out a 5-4 win against the 9th-ranked Cardinal of Stanford. It was arguably one of the closest contest ever seen at the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion and had both sets of fans on the edge of their seats until the last ball was struck by sophomore Kali Schellenberg at #7 - who won 9-6 in the fifth at11:05pm!
With four matches going to five and the Bears managing to win three of those matches - one by freshman Sophie Scherl 10-9 in the fifth - the match could not have been closer. It was an outstanding effort by the whole team.
Next up for the Bears is Dartmouth at home on Saturday, 2/1, at 1:30pm.
