Providence, R.I. - Pam McCreesh, the head softball coach at Utah State University for the past four years, has been named head softball coach at Brown University.
McCreesh's Utah State team earned the Big West Conference's Sportsmanship Award in 1999 and 2000. She managed all aspects of the Division I program and was heavily involved in fundraising. In four years at Utah State, McCreesh coached four All-West region players, seven All-Big West Conference players, a Big West Player of the Year, and nine Academic All-Big West players.
Before becoming the head coach at Utah State, the New Jersey native worked as an assistant coach at Rutgers for one season, Utah State for two years and Trenton State for three seasons.
A 1989 graduate of Trenton State College with a BS degree in Education, McCreesh was a four-year starter and team captain as a senior. She was a three-time All-American at Trenton State and was named the NCAA Division III Player of the Year in 1988. McCreesh was named the New Jersey College Female of the Year in 1989. McCreesh earned a MS degree in Education from Trenton State in 1992.
