Seid Named To CoSIDA District I All-Academic Team

Senior shortstop Mary Seid (Spring Valley, CA) has been named a Second Team District I CoSIDA Academic All-American. Seid was a force at the plate for Brown, ranking fourth in the Ivy League this season with a .389 average and also ranked second in on base percentage with a .447 average and runs scored with 32. A double concentrator in Geophysics and Math, Seid has maintained a 3.26 GPA.

Seid wrapped up her four-year career at Brown with an impressive final season, leading the Bears in almost every batting category and was named Ivy League Player of the Week twice and earned MVP honors at the UMBC Tournament in March. Seid was also recognized at Brown's 16th Annual All-Sports Banquet, as she was awarded the Bessie H. Rudd Award, given to the female varsity athlete who has done the most to promote women's sports during the year.
