March 15, 2009

Spartanburg, SC - Rain throughout the weekend has caused the softball games between Brown and USC Upstate and Ohio University to be cancelled. The pair of games where scheduled for Sunday at Upstate in an attempt to salvage some games of the Winthrop/adidas Classic. The first two days of the tournament were cancelled Friday and Saturday due to the heavy rains in Rock Hill, S.C. The schedule was altered in an attempt to schedule some games for Sunday, but rain has not subsided and today's games will not be played.

Brown will host Holy Cross at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and then head south to the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL, where it will take on Army and Iona on Friday, March 20.
