The Bears were held to just five hits in the first contest by Eli pitcher Jillian Miles (Canyon, CA), with Julia Iudicello (McLean, VA) picking up two of the Bear hits and her seventh triple of the season. Filson led the Bulldogs at the plate, batting a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and a double, while both Bartholomew and Jackie Crispell (Longwood, FL) hit 2-for-4. Yale then scored four unanswered runs in the top of the seventh to pull away with a 7-2 victory. Filson picked up the win on the mound, and Erin Durlesser (Santa Monica, CA) picked up the loss for the Bears.
