Brown Splits Doubleheader with Boston College

In Game One, junior Cara Howe (Missouri City, TX) led the way, as she pounded a homerun shot to left field in the bottom of the third inning, driving in Julia Iudicello (McLean, VA) and Uchenna Omokaro (Hurcules, CA). Brown would score again in the fourth, when Omokaro single to right field, scoring Melissa Brown. Junior Erin Durlesser was on the mound for the Bears, throwing 4 strikeouts, and allowing only three hits in the game.

In the second game of the day, both teams put on solid defensive performances in the early innings. The Eagles got on the board first in the top of the fourth, when Michelle Daly singled to left center, bringing in Elyse Meredith. Boston College would then score nine unanswered runs in the top of the seventh inning, to earn a 10-0 win.

Brown (6-14, 1-3) returns to action on Saturday April 13 at 1:00pm, when they return to Ivy play hosting Cornell.
