In game two, the Bears huddled together to come back and post a strong hitting performance throughout the game. Four players recorded 2 hits, including junior Cara Howe (Missouri City, TX) who hit two doubles in the game. Freshman Marissa Berkes (El Segundo, CA) was solid on the mound, giving up only three hits in 27 batters faced.

With the score evened at 1-1 going into the bottom of the sixth, Howe singled to center field, driving in pinch runner Maggie Haskins (Chicago, IL) for the score. Lizzie Buza then singled to shortstop, scoring freshman Laura Decker (Waco, TX), making the final score 3-1.

Brown (5-13, 1-3) return to action on Wednesday April 10, when the Bears will host Big East's Boston College at Erickson Athletic Complex at 3:00pm.
