Softball to Honor 2004 Ivy League Champions on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Prior to Saturday's doubleheader against Dartmouth, the Brown softball team will honor the 10th anniversary of the 2004 Ivy League Championship team. Director of Athletics Jack Hayes and Head Coach Katie Flynn will lead pregame ceremonies to recognize the team for its accomplishments and place in Brown athletics history.

The 2004 team went 10-4 in Ivy League play and sported four All-Ivy players, including Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Ivy Uchenna Omokaro, Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Ivy Courtney Jenkins, First Team All-Ivy Laura Leonetti and Second Team All-Ivy Jamie Wirkowski. Leonetti, a team captain and 2004 co-recipient of the Marjorie Brown Smith award, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game, which is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m.
