Brown Women's Soccer Names 2005 Captains

PROVIDENCE, RI - The women's soccer team has announced the 2005 captains, as voted on by the team. The Bears selected Meghan Schreck '06 (Hudson, MA), who served as a co-captain in 2004, Christine Serdjenian '06 (Waterville, ME), and Hilary Wilson '06 (Monterey, CA) as team captains for the 2005 season.
Schreck, a junior forward, led the Bears in scoring this past season with 6-2-14 numbers, including a team-high three game-winning goals. An Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection in 2004, her six goals ranked eighth in the League. In 50 career games, she has 12-6-30 numbers. A junior forward, Serdjenian made an impact this past season after playing in just four games during her first two seasons. She played in 16 of Brown's 17 games, starting in all 16, and finished third on the team in scoring with 3-2-8 numbers, including one game-winning goal.
Wilson, a junior goalie, was the recipient of the team's Ridgely MVP Award. An Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection, Wilson transferred to Brown from Arizona State University and made an immediate impact, playing in every minute of every game in goal. She posted a 1.16 GAA and an .879 save percentage, while earning four shutouts. She finished the season with 145 saves, tying the Brown single-season save mark, set by Kathy Kostic '87 in 1986. Her 145 saves led the Ivy League and was 65 more than the second-leading save leader.
