Honors Continue for Hogue

PROVIDENCE, RI - Brown junior goalie Brenna Hogue (Concord, CA) has been awarded several national honors after her role in leading Brown to a 1-0 upset over #11 Penn State in overtime and a 0-0 tie with #1 UCLA this past weekend at the UConn Classic.

The current Ivy League Player of the Week, Hogue has also been named to the Soccer America Women's Team of the Week, earning both the Goalie of the Week and the Player of the Week for the magazine. She as also named ECAC co-Defensive Player of the Week and has earned a spot on the SoccerBuzz Elite Team of the Week.

Following the weekend, Hogue, who stopped all 30 shots she faced at the UConn Classic, now ranks among the national top-15 in both saves per game (1st with 11.75) and save percentage (15th .922). In addition, her 18 saves against Penn State currently rank 3rd in the country for saves in a single game.

Brown has vaulted into the national rankings, earning a ranking of #21 in the Soccer Times poll and #22 in the Soccer America poll. In addition, Brown is now ranked sixth in the Northeast Region by SoccerBuzz.
