Womens Soccer Tops Boston In ECAC Classic

(Sept. 10, 2000) -- The Brown women's soccer team took a 1-0 victory in the final game of the MSI/ECAC Womens Soccer Classic that was played at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School on September 10.

Brown, which had a 2-0 record in the Classic, scored the games only goal at the 80:05 mark of the game when Kim Lanziere converted on a Kristin Ferrell cornerkick.

The Terriers outshot the Brown, 22-12. The big difference was in the first half when B.U. outshot Brown, 12-4, but were unable to put the ball in the net.

Brown keepers Mary Jo Markle, who played the first half, and Sarah Gervias, who played the second half, each had six saves en route to the win.
