Jan. 30, 2004

Senior Michaela Sewall (Newton, MA) and freshman Kathryn Moos (Wayzata, MN) were selected to the SoccerBuzz Northeast All-Region women's soccer team. Sewall earned a spot on the First Team All-Region squad, while Moos was named to the Northeast Regional All-Freshman team.

Moos, the 2003 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, led the Bears with nine goals, including a league-leading seven goals in Ivy contests. A three-time Ivy League Rookie of the Week and one-time Player of the Week after notching a hat trick in Brown's 3-2 win over Cornell, Moos is Brown's first 20-point scorer since 2000 when Kim Lanzire '02 ended the year with 21 points.

Sewall, a First Team All-Ivy selection this season, is making her second straight appearance on a SoccerBuzz All-Region team, after earning Third Team Northeast Regional honors last season. She led the Bears this year in assists with six (second in the League), including five in Ivy games, and finished second on the team with 16 points (5 goals, 6 assists), 10th in the Ivy League. Her 15 career assists ranks eighth all-time among Brown's career assist leaders.

The Brown women's soccer team finished the season with a 10-4-2 record, its first winning season since 2000, and a 4-3, third place, finish in the Ivy League. The Bears return six of the top-ten scorers from this year for next season, including two of the top three scorers in Moos and sophomore Meghan Schreck (Hudson, MA).
