BOSTON, MA - The Brown University Women's Soccer Team (4-5) dropped a 1-0 decision to #22 Boston College in a hard-faught battle on Wednesday afternoon.
The Eagles scored all they would need in the 38th minute of play to earn the win. The only goal of the afternoon started from BC goalkeeper Kate Taylor. Ball in hand, Taylor was unchallenged and walked out beyond the 18-yard box. She drop kicked the ball over midfield to Kia McNeill. McNeill got her head on it and advanced the ball into the box for a streaking Nicole Reyes. Down the right flank, Reyes beat two defenders and put it far post, rolling by Brown junior goalkeeper Hilary Wilson (Monterey, CA).
BC out-shot Brown 12-7 in the contest. Wilson made seven saves on the afternoon in the losing effort; one of which was a diving block on a left-footed shot. The Bears continue action on Saturday, October 9, when they travel to New Jersey to take on #17 Princeton in a 4:00 p.m. Ivy League contest.
