Oct. 3, 2002

MANCHESTER, NH - The Dartmouth College Big Green (4-3-1, 1-1-0) scored with just 54 seconds remaining in the second overtime en route to a 2-1 victory over Brown (3-4-2, 0-2-1) in an Ivy League women's soccer contest Singer Family Park in Manchester, NH Wednesday evening.

Dartmouth got on the board with 13:09 remaining in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead with a goal off a penalty kick.

However, Brown scored with 8:56 left in the contest to send the game into extra time on a goal by junior Molly Cahan (Encino, CA) with an assist to Laura Iden (Kenilworth, NJ). Iden served a long pass to Cahan who one-timed a shot from 12 yards out that knotted the score at 1-1.

After one scoreless 10-minute overtime, and the second one appearing to remain scoreless, the Big Green netted the winner in what was Brown's third overtime game of the season.

Junior goalie Sarah Gervais (Harrisville, RI) stopped 11 shots in net for the Bears, who continue action on Tuesday, October 8, when they host Northeastern in a 7:00 p.m. contest at Stevenson Field.
