Women's Soccer Fights Harvard To A Close Match, But Falls, 1-0

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Harvard Crimson (3-3-0, 1-0-0) scored the only goal of the contest in the 71st minute of action, en route to a 1-0 victory over Brown (3-3-2, 0-1-1) in an Ivy League women's soccer contest at Brown's Stevenson Field Saturday evening.
After nearly 71 minutes of scoreless action, senior Beth Totman scored what proved to be the game-winner for Harvard off a corner kick.
Both teams had several opportunities throughout the game with Brown's best chance coming in the final 10 minutes when the Bears fired off three consecutive shots, but could not find the back of the net.
The Bears continue action on Wednesday, October 2, when they face Dartmouth in a 7:00 p.m. Ivy League contest at Singer Park in Manchester, NH.
