HANOVER, NH - The Brown Women's Soccer Team (3-4-0, 0-1-0) dropped a 2-0 decision to Dartmouth (4-2-2, 1-0-0) on Sunday afternoon in the Ivy League opener for both teams.
The Big Green opened the scoring at 19:32, tallying off a corner kick. Dartmouth added its second goal of the game less than ten minutes later at 27:18, scoring on a three-on-one break.
That was all the scoring that the stingy Big Green defense would need. However, after Brown's sluggish first half, the Bears picked things up in the second, scoring an apparent goal with about 30 minutes to go in the game. But, the goal was called off after an offsides call, and the Bears were kept off the board.
In net for Brown, junior Hillary Wilson (Monterey, CA) recorded seven saves as Brown was outshot 15-6. The Bears continue action on Friday, October 1, when it hosts Columbia in a 7:00 p.m. Ivy League contest. The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 2, has been moved to Friday night.
