PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's soccer team looks to earn its first home win of the season on Thursday, Sept. 12 when the Bears play host to Northeastern under the lights at Stevenson Field. The game is set to start at 7 p.m. Links to live video and live stats will be available at www.brownbears.com.

Brown opened up the 2013 season with a 1-1 split over the weekend. The Bears picked up a 1-0 shutout road win at Quinnipiac in the season opener before falling to St. John's, 4-0, at home on Sunday. In the win over Quinnipiac, senior captain Mika Siegelman (Piedmont, Calif.) scored in the 13th minute and Chloe Cross (Seattle, Wash.) set up the play to earn the assist. Seniors Amber Bledsoe (Cincinnati, Ohio) and MC Barrett (Ithaca, N.Y.) each played a half in net to preserve the shutout.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Northeastern enters Thursday's contest at 0-4-2 on the young season after falling to No. 21 Ohio State on Sunday. Hanna Terry scored in the eighth minute to give the home side the early 1-0 advantage, but the Buckeyes closed it out with four unanswered goals to seal the victory. Northeastern has faced tough competition this season, also falling to No. 5 UCLA, Loyola Marymount and South Carolina, but secured a pair of 1-1 draws against Northwestern and New Hampshire. Lahaina Zoller, Krista Meaglia and Terry pace the Huskies with one goal apiece, while Terry leads all players with 21 shots and 11 shots on goal. Paige Burnett has started all six games in net and has allowed 14 goals to go along with 45 saves.
The Bears kick off a two-game road swing on Sunday, Sept. 15 when they travel to Central Florida for a 1 p.m. contest.
