Reilly Named Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week

PROVIDENCE, RI – After scoring the game-winning goal in Brown's season-opening 1-0 win over Liberty on Friday night, freshman Allie Reilly (Lawrenceville, NJ) has been named Ivy League co-Rookie of the Week along with Yale's Meredith Speck.

In the only game she played in, due to orientation events back at Brown during the weekend, Reilly broke a 0-0 tie with her first career goal just 5:23 into the second half. After teammate Louisa Pitney (Washington, DC) collected the ball out of a pile in front of the net, she passed it to Reilly, who hit the far corner for the 1-0 lead and the game's only goal.

In addition to Reilly, junior Eliza Marshall (North Andover, MA) was named to the weekly honor roll after scoring a pair of goals, including the game-winner, in the Bears 3-1 victory over Coastal Carolina.

Brown continues action on Wednesday night, September 7, when it hosts cross-town rival Providence College in a 7:00 p.m. match.
