Caggiano Earns Us Lacrosse All-America Honors

PROVIDENCE, RI - Junior Niki Caggiano (Freeport, NY) and of the Brown women's lacrosse team was selected to the US Lacrosse Women's Division Collegiate All-America Honorable Mention Team.
A two-time Ivy League Defensive Player of the week this season, Caggiano was named the First Team goalie on the IWLCA Regional All-American Squan. She posted a season-high 20 saves versus #8 Loyola in Brown's season finale on May 3, while breaking the Brown record for career saves (465) with her seventh save of the game. Previously held by Stephanie Saunders '80, Caggiano surpassed the record by 14 and now has 479 career saves with one season left to play. In addition, she broke the Brown record for saves in a season the previous weekend and finished the year with a record 209 saves. A three-time Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week during her career, her 20-save effort is a single-game-high in the league this season. In addition, she has consistently been ranked in the top-15 in the country in save percentage this year and finished the season with a league-high .615 save percentage, 5th in the nation.
