Providence, RI - The Brown University women's lacrosse team (4-11) closed out the 2005 season with an 11-5 victory over visiting Ohio on a rainy and windy Saturday afternoon at Stevenson Field.

Ohio took the first lead of the game, just 2:10 into the contest, but back-to-back Brown goals from senior Sarah Passano (Baltimore, MD) and sophomore Amie Biros (Bethesda, MD) gave the Bears a 2-1 lead with 12:38 remaining in the first half.

The Bobcats knotted the contest at 2-2 just 1:48 later, but a goal from freshman Justine Lupo (Ridgewood, NJ) with 8:21 left sparked a four-goal run for Brown, as the Bears headed into halftime with a 6-2 advantage.

Junior Lindsey Glennon (Exeter, NH) capped the five-goal run for Brown exactly three minutes into the second half as the Bears grabbed a 7-2 lead. Ohio scored twice over a span of 5:04 to come to within three goals, but Lupo's third goal of the afternoon gave Brown an 8-4 lead with 11:05 left in the game.

The Bobcats added one more goal just 2:07 later, but that was as close as they would get, as senior Kenley Bradstreet (Southboro, MA), who scored her first goal of the season, junior Meg Sullivan (Garden City, NY), and Biros each scored during the remaining 6:10 for the 11-5 final.

Lupo led the Bears with three goals, while junior Kate Staley (Needham, MA) tallied three assists. Biros and Passano each scored twice, while sophomore Jen Redd (Towson, MD) added two assists.

Senior Julia Southard (Manhasset, NY) recorded five saves in net, as all three members of the class of 2005, Southard, Passano, and Bradstreet, helped to lead the Bears to victory on senior day.
