ITHACA, NY - The Brown women's lacrosse team fell to 4-7 and 2-2 in the Ivy League on Saturday afternoon, losing to the Big Red of Cornell, ranked 12th in the country, by a 15-11 score. Freshman Ashley Holden (Alexandria, VA) led the Bears with three goals and one assist, while senior Bekah Rottenberg (Colrain, MA) notced two goals and three assists.
In addition, sophomore Sarah Passano (Baltimore, MD) and junior Laurel Pierpont (Jacksonville, FL) each scored two goals, while junior Christine Anneberg (Denver, CO) and sophomore Kierstan Carlson (Medford Lakes, NJ) each pitched in one goal. Senior Maggie Connolly (Manhasset, NY) added two assists, while freshman Lindsey Glennon (Exeter, NH) tallied one assist.
In net for Brown, sophomore Julia Southard (Manhasset, NY) played outstanding, stopping a career-high 18 shots.
The Bears continue action on Wednesday, April 23, hosting #13 Yale at 4:00 p.m.
