Women’s Lacrosse’s Zaffino Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown women's lacrosse junior Caroline Zaffino (Darien, Conn.) was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday in an announcement made by the conference.

Zaffino helped the Bears go 2-0 last week in two non-conference games with team-highs in points (14), goals (12) and draw controls (12). In a 15-14 win at Bryant on Wednesday (March 7) for the Ocean State Cup, she scored a career-high seven goals and added five draw controls, four ground balls and one assist. On Saturday (March 10), she helped the Bears score a season-best 20 goals in a 20-10 triumph over Monmouth. Zaffino recorded a team-high five goals and one assist while adding seven draw controls and one caused turnover against the Hawks.

The Bears are back in action on Saturday, March 17, resuming Ivy League play when they head to New Haven, Conn. to face Yale at 1:00 p.m. Brown will also play the following day, Sunday, March 18, hosting Iona at Stevenson-Pincince Field for a 2:00 p.m. game.
