Abby Bunting, Bre Hudgins and Erin Roos Earn All-Ivy Honors

PROVIDENCE, RI – Brown juniors Bre Hudgins (Syracuse, NY) and Erin Roos (Wilmette, IL) and sophomore Abby Bunting (Wellesley, MA) have earned All-Ivy honors in a vote by the eight Ivy League women's lacrosse coaches, announced by the League Wednesday afternoon. Hudgins was named First Team All-Ivy, while both Roos and Bunting earned Second Team All-Ivy recognition.

Hudgins, who was a Second Team All-Ivy honoree in 2011, finished the year as Brown's leading scorer with 49 points (37g, 12a), which ranks 10th all-time at Brown for points in a season. Her 37 goals rank sixth all-time at Brown for goals in a season, tying the mark she set as a freshman in 2011. She started all 15 games on attack and was also second on the team with 51 draw controls. Hudgins scored at least one goal in all 15 games and had 11 multi-goal games, scoring a season-high five goals in the Bears' overtime victory over Columbia. She also scored four goals against George Mason and Princeton. Hudgins also earned at least one draw control in every single game this season, winning a season-high six against both Columbia and Holy Cross with five against Boston College. One of the Bears' top scorers in each of her first three seasons, Hudgins will enter her senior campaign ranked 10th all-time at Brown with 120 career points, ninth all-time with 96 career goals, and 16th all-time with 24 career assists. She is also fourth all-time with 98 career draw controls. 

Roos is also making her second appearance on the All-Ivy team, earning Second Team honors for the second consecutive season. The Bears' top defender, Roos led Brown for the second straight year in both ground balls (27) and caused turnovers (25) and also contributed 15 draw controls, fourth on the team. Her 25 caused turnovers in 2013 rank eighth all-time at Brown. A steady defender, Roos committed just six turnovers all season and was regularly used to mark some of the strongest opposing attackers. A three-year starter, Roos started all 15 games and had a season-high three caused turnovers against Princeton, Harvard and Boston College. She finished the season ranked 22nd in the nation with 1.67 caused turnovers per game and helped Brown's defense earn a team GAA of 8.93. Roos will enter her senior season already ranked seventh all-time at Brown with 58 career caused turnovers.

Bunting earned All-Ivy honors for the first time in her career after finishing as Brown's second-leading scorer with 36 points (32g, 4a). Her 32 goals rank 16th all-time at Brown for goals in a season. Bunting started all 15 games in the midfield and also led the team with 27 ground balls and contributed seven caused turnovers and seven draw controls. A midfielder, Bunting registered at least one point in 14 of 15 games, including a career-high four goals against both George Mason and Dartmouth. She also scored three goals against Princeton, Quinnipiac, Bryant and Penn.
