McDonald Announces Nine-Member Class of 2016

PROVIDENCE, RI - Brown University head women's lacrosse coach Keely McDonald '00 has announced the addition of nine high school standouts who will be joining the Bears this year. The members of the Class of 2016, eight of whom captained their high school lacrosse teams, have excelled on the field, in the classroom, and in their respective communities. They represent six different states, including California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania.

"What stands out about this group is their energy, they are fearless competitors" said McDonald. "All nine women show their passion for Brown Lacrosse daily both on and off the field. They have already meshed seamlessly with the returners due to their work ethic and aggressive play. All of these student athletes have the academic and athletic backgrounds to be great leaders for Brown University and our program."
