Waterman Named One of Delaware's Top High School Basketball Players of the Decade
PROVIDENCE, RI - Junior women's lacrosse standout Paris Waterman (Newark, DE), who was a First Team All-State selection in three sports as a senior at the Sanford School, has been named one of Delaware's top high school basketball players of the decade by Delaware's Finest Inc., a local basketball charity group that polled coaches, referees and media. Waterman earned Second Team All-Decade honors and All-Defensive First Team recognition, while getting named the top defender of the decade.
Waterman has been a consistent contributor for the Bears' lacrosse team, starting 30 games over the past two years. A quick midfielder, Waterman has been among the team's leaders for both ground balls and caused turnovers, tying for first on the team with 17 caused turnovers during the 2008 season.
