Brown Hockey's Emilie Bydwell to Play for USA Rugby Women's National Team in England

Providence, RI - Brown senior Emilie Bydwell (Montreal, QUE), an assistant captain on the women's ice hockey team, has been selected to travel with the USA Rugby Women's National Team to England for the 2007 First Sports International England Tour from Dec. 6-16.

Bydwell, who has experience playing for the U.S. U-23 team, is one of just six college players on the 30-player roster making the trip. During the Tour, the Women's National Team will play club team the Nomads on Dec. 8, England A on Dec. 12, and the England Women's National Team on Dec. 15.

One of the Brown hockey team's top penalty killers, Bydwell has played in three games this season. She missed the team's first eight contests while playing for Brown's women's rugby club team, which is ranked first in the country.
