Brown Releases 2007 Women's Ice Hockey Schedule

Aug. 16, 2007

Providence, RI - Brown Head Coach Digit Murphy has announced the Bears' 2007 women's ice hockey schedule. Brown will begin play on Oct. 26 this season, and will host 12 home games at Meehan Auditorium.

For the first time since the 2001-02 season, the Bears will open right up with their ECAC Hockey schedule, starting the campaign at Union and Rensselaer on October 26 and 27. The team will open the ice hockey season at Meehan Auditorium the following weekend, as Yale comes to Providence on November 3. Brown will play non-conference foes Connecticut and Robert Morris in addition to the annual Mayor's Cup game with Providence and seven ECAC foes before exam break.

After nearly a month off from competition, the Bears have a tough task right out of the chute, hosting New Hampshire on Jan. 5. After a road game at Northeastern and an ECAC weekend at Quinnipiac and Princton, Brown leaves for a road trip to Niagara and Mercyhurst for its final non-conference games of the year. The season then closes with five straight ECAC weekends, three of which are in Providence.
