Nine with Ties to Brown Women's Ice Hockey Selected to Participate in 2004 USA Hockey Festival

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The rosters have been announced for the 2004 USA Hockey Women's National Festival, to be held August 15-22 in Lake Placid, New York. Eight of the 63 players competing in this event have Brown University ties, including former athletes, Pam Dreyer '03, Kim Insalaco `03, Kathleen Kauth '01, Katie King `97 and Tara Mounsey '01, who were selected to the White Team, and current student-athletes Jessica Link '05, Amy McLaughlin '05, and Keaton Zucker '05, who were named to the Under-22 Team. In addition, Brown Head Coach Digit Murphy will serve as the head coach for the Red Team. Participants in the Festival were divided into three teams (Red and White, and an Under-22 Team), which will participate in daily practices and compete in a round-robin tournament at the Olympic Center during the seven-day event. Following the seven-day event, the U.S. Under-22 Team will host the Canadian Under-22 Team in a three-game series, August 25-28, in Lake Placid and Burlington, Vermont. The 2004 series marks the fifth-ever three-game series, which alternates the host site each year. The first two games will be held at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, August 25 and 26, and the final game will be held on August 28 at University of Vermont's Gutterson Fieldhouse.
