Four Set To Join Bears Next Fall

Providence, RI - The Bears are gearing up for next season and welcome four new players, who are set to take the ice in the fall for Brown. Morgan Hanrahan, Kim McManus, Nicole Stock and Lindsey Wilde have all signed during the early decision period.
A defender from Bay Roberts, New Foundland, Hanrahan participated on Team New Foundland 2002-2004, being named assistant captain in 2003 and captain in 2004. While on the Under 18 Team, Hanrahan helped lead the team to the Canada Winter games in 2003, and Esso Women's Senior Nationals the following year. Hanrahan also played with the Ascension Astros where, she was named captain for 2004 and 2005. She participated on the NL High School Girls Provincials team in 2004, first place Confederation Cup teams in 2001, 2002 and 2004 and the second place Confederation Cup team in 2004. Hanrahan was awarded the Most Sportsmanlike honor while on the Astros in 2003, 2004 and 2005, also earning the honor in 2004, for the Bay Roberts Rovers. Not only limiting herself to hockey, Hanrahnan participated on her high school soccer, basketball, ball hockey, cross-country, volleyball and badminton teams.
McManus a forward from Dedham, MA, was Lawrence's leading scorer for the past two seasons, earning All-League Honors 2002, 2003 and 2004. A participant of the U.S. National Development Camp for the 15/16 and 17/18 teams, McManus helped lead the Assabet Valley U-16 team to three National Ice Hockey Championships. While at Lawrence McManus also participated on the field hockey and lacrosse teams. In field hockey she broke Lawrence's and ISL's record for most goals in a season in 2003, earning ISL All-League honors in 2002, 2003 and 2004. While playing lacrosse, McManus was named to the New England All-Star Team and received All-League honors in 2003 and 2004.
A goaltender from Buffalo Grove, IL, Stock posted a 14-1 record with a 0.67 goals against average earning a .956 save percentage. This past season, Stock helped Choate Rosemary Hall advance to the New England Prep School Championship game. While at Choate Rosemary Hall, she was a three-sport captain for volleyball, hockey and lacrosse. The past three years Stock was awarded Choate's all-around athlete award, also receiving the Most Valuable Player award for hockey two of the three years she participated on Choate's team. Stock joined other top goaltenders around the country two years ago when she took part in the National Goalie Development Camp.
From Billerica, MA, Wilde is the third Cushing Academy member to join the Bears in the last two years. Co-captained the Cushing Academy Varsity ice hockey team her senior year and was a member of the 2003 and 2004 New England championship runner up teams. Wilde also was a member of the Chelmsford Lions for seven years. As well as hockey, Wilde participated on field hockey and softball where she was named co-captain for both teams.
