Zucker Earns ECACHL Player of the Week
Feb. 27, 2006
With playoff implications on the line the Bears needed a veteran to step up and take the puck in key situations to guarantee them home ice in the opening round of the playoffs. Senior Keaton Zucker (Gilford, NH) was that player for the Bears, having a hand in all five of the Bears goals netting three and assisting on the other two.
Finishing with a +3 rating on the weekend and a force in the face-off circle, Zucker rocketed into a two way tie for sixteenth place on Brown's All-Time Leading Scorer's List tallying 102 points on 42 goals and 60 assists in 124 games played. With 23 points in conference play this season, Zucker ranks seventh in the conference for points per game recording 1.15 and goals per game netting 11 in conference play. With seven of the eleven goals coming on the power play Zucker is third in the conference and eighth in assists posting 12.
Zucker and the Bears will host the ECACHL Quarterfinal series this weekend taking on Dartmouth College in a best of three series this weekend. Brown and the Big Green will face-off on Friday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4 at 4:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 5 at 4:00 p.m. if necessary.
