Brown Women's Ice Hockey Drops to Boston College 3-1

The Brown University women's ice hockey team (1-1-0, 0-0-0) dropped a 3-1 decision to Boston college (3-1) at Meehan Auditorium on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles opened up an early lead with a powerplay goal within the first 12 minutes of the game. They grabbed a 2-0 lead within the last minute of the period.

Brown came within one goal in the third period with a goal from junior Krissy McManus (Dedham, MA), her first of the season. Sophomore Lindsay Glennon (Exeter, NH) had the assist on the play.

However, the Eagles regained their two goal advantage with a goal in the third by Sophomore Kristin Blundo.

For the game, Katie Germain (Sarnia, ONT) stopped 13 shots. Brown continues action next weekend as they host Minnesota Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
