HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Brown women's hockey team battled No. 4/4 Colgate, shutting the Raiders out in the first and third periods, but fell 2-0 at Class of 1965 Arena on Friday night. Sophomore Calla Isaac (Sherwood Park, Alberta) had a strong game in net, turning away 43 shots for the Bears.

Brown (2-24-0, 1-18-0 ECAC) fought off a 5-on-3 in the first period as the teams entered intermission scoreless. Isaac made 15 saves in the frame while the Bears generated eight shots against Colgate's (26-4-1, 16-3-0 ECAC) Liz Auby.

The second period remained scoreless until Megan Sullivan recorded a power-play goal at 16:56 for a 1-0 Colgate lead. Jessie Eldridge added a short-handed tally with four seconds remaining in the stanza to take a 2-0 advantage. Isaac upped her save total to 32, adding 17 in the period.

The Bears fought off their own infraction in the stanza to improve to 1-for-3 on the penalty kill in the contest. Brown went with the empty net at 18:48 but Colgate was able to prevent any scoring opportunities.

Isaac finished with 43 saves, her second-straight contest with 40 or more saves and 11th game of the season surpassing at least 30 stops. Auby concluded the night with 21 saves for the Raiders.
