Women’s Hockey Places 17 on ECAC All-Academic Team

2013-14 ECAC All-Academic Team Release

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Brown women's hockey team placed 17 players on the ECAC All-Academic Team, leading the league for the second season in a row, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Brown tied with Quinnipiac and Rensselaer with 17 honorees each as 156 student-athletes were recognized for their academic achievements.

Of Brown's selections, seniors Jessica Hoyle (Toronto, Ontario), Aubree Moore (Bowie, Md.) and Vanessa Welten (Brockville, Ontario) landed on the All-Academic Team for the fourth season in a row.

Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.
