    Women’s Hockey Places 17 on ECAC All-Academic Team ALBANY, N.Y. – The Brown women’s hockey team placed 17 players on the ECAC All-Academic Team, leading the league for the second season in a row, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Brown tied with Quinnipiac and Rensselaer with 17 honorees each as 156 student-athletes were recognized for their academic achievements.

The Bears also handed out several team awards to honor individual accomplishments from the 2013-14 season.

    Robson Becomes First Woman to Earn NEHWA Unsung Hero Award BOSTON, Mass. – Brown women’s hockey junior Sarah Robson (Mississauga, Ontario) has been named the Joe Tomasello Award Unsung Hero by the New England Hockey Writers Association, becoming the first female to do so. Robson’s historical accolade puts her alongside some of the best men’s college hockey players in the country, including back-to-back Leonard Fowle Award winner Johnny Gaudreau of Boston College, the nation’s Most Valuable Player as voted by the NEHWA.
