Brown Edged In Coach Bourbeau’s Return to Princeton, 1-0
Princeton, N.J. – For the first time in 14 years, Amy Bourbeau was not on the home bench in Baker Rink. Bourbeau returned to Princeton after serving her long tenure as the assistant coach for the Tigers, but this time as the head coach of the Bears. Brown went toe-to-toe with Princeton for the entire game, but a power play goal by the Tigers' Olivia Mucha proved to be the difference in the 1-0 contest.
Sophomore goaltender Aubree Moore (Bowie Md.) was once again stellar in net for Brown (1-2-1, 0-2-1), making 28 saves, 19 in the final period.
The lone goal of the game came at 6:24 in the second period when a player advantage for the Tigers gave Princeton the extra inch it needed. Sally Butler and Denna Laing combined to find Mucha for the score.
With the win, Princeton improves to 3-1-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the ECAC.
The Bears will be action tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m., when they travel to Quinnipiac for the final game of a four-game ECAC road trip.
