Becky Kellar '97 Prepares for Fourth Olympics Appearance

Becky Kellar '97 will carry on the rich tradition of Brown hockey players in the Olympics in the upcoming weeks, as the forward will appear in her fourth consecutive Winter Games as a member of Team Canada.  Kellar, who ranks ninth all-time in scoring at Brown, has already won two gold medals and one silver in her previous appearances, and has been a part of the Canadian National Team since 1997.

Kellar made her first appearance in the winter games in 1998, where she tallied one goal and two assists for the silver medal Canadian team, which was edged by a U.S. squad featuring Brown alums Tara Mounsey '02.5 and Katie King '97.  In the following Olympics, Kellar picked up an assist and a +6 rating, as she helped lead her team to the 2002 gold medal.  Canada took the top spot again in 2006, with Kellar notching another assist and playing an integral role.

The Canadian team will kick off their gold medal defense on Saturday, February 13, at 2:00 p.m. EST.  For more coverage of Becky Kellar, Brown fans can follow the link below.
