Milford, Conn. - The Brown women's golf team enjoyed its best finish of the fall with a second place finish the Sacred Heart Fall Classic held at the Great River Golf Club. Brown finished with a two-day score of 655 (330, 325), with Sacred Heart winning the team title at 639. The Bears finished 13 shots ahead of third place Boston University (668).
Sophomore Julia Robinson paced the Bears and finished fifth individually with a two day 161, shooting 82 on the final day of competition. Sophomore Sarah Guarascio was close behind at 162, finishing sixth individually after shooting 80 on the final day of play.
Freshman Heather Arison also earned a top-10 finish, shooting 82-83--165 to place 10th individually. Freshman Megan Tuohy enjoyed he best tournament of the fall, shooting 80 on the final day to finish at 167, 13th individually. Sophomore Susan Restrepo posted a two-day 173 (88, 85), finishing 19th. freshman Carly Arison played as an individual and placed 14th with a two-day 168 (85,83). Junior Anita Sekar also competed as an individual and shot 86-94--180.
The Sacred Heart Invitational concludes the fall season for coach Danielle Griffiths team.
